Seán Ó Fearghail comes from An Rinn in the west Waterford Gaeltacht. He started the fiddle with Gearóid Ó Laoghaire and the concertina with Bobby Gardiner.
He attended workshops around the country such as the Willie Clancy Summer School where he was influenced by the likes of Tommy Peoples, Martin Hayes, James Kelly and Noel Hill.
He has taught music from the age of 15 and has completed his Masters of Tradition Music in University of Limerick in 2010.
He has had the good fortune to travel all over the world playing music as well as playing with bands like Danú and Caladh Nua.
He has featured on a number of albums playing various instruments, including;
