Seán Ó Fearghail is a native of Rinn Ua gCuanach, in the heart of the west Waterford Gaeltacht, where music has always been a way of life. A gifted multi-instrumentalist, Seán plays fiddle, concertina and bouzouki, and has had the privilege of sharing sessions and stages with some of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians.

Holding a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and a Master of Arts (M.A.), Seán brings both a deep academic understanding and a lifelong passion for music to his teaching. Rooted in a deeply musical household, he has gone on to teach and perform at prestigious festivals across the world, including the renowned Willie Clancy Summer School in Miltown Malbay — a festival he first attended as a young student. His sound draws inspiration from musicians the length and breadth of Ireland.

Seán’s voice as a musician has reached audiences through television and radio programmes such as Geantrai and Féilte, and his playing can be heard across a diverse range of albums including;
